Mental Peace Counseling

About Me

  • Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, Canada. (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario – CRPO).

  • Had been a member (for 10 years) and Clinical Fellow of both the American and Ontario Associations for Marriage & Family Therapy.

  • Member of Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

  • Started my career as a Chemical Engineer, later obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in International Management and moved into Project Planning and Development. Employed in the Middle East and North Africa for 18 years in Oil and Petrochemical industries.

  • Master of Divinity from McMaster University and a Certificate in Couple and Family Therapy from Guelph University.

  • Trained in therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Person-centered Psychotherapy.  These models provide specific and valuable insight into my work and informs the choice of intervention I can use for each client.

  • A firm believer that learning is for life and keep on attending workshops and training programs in various modalities of psychotherapy.  I have more than 16 years of experience helping people cope with crises. This includes years of pastoral counselling, working in agency settings and for EAP companies.

My mission is to make clients think. Once clients understand what is behind their suffering or the predicament they are in, they are able to seek solutions to their own problems. They would also be ready to embrace the change that would free them from their problems and worries.

Thus, they gain some peace of mind.
